Avatar is a movie directed by Academy Award-winning director James Cameron (Aliens, The Abyss, True Lies, Titanic), which tells the tale of an ex-Marine who gets caught up in fighting on an extraterrestrial world with strange living forms. He is caught between two worlds as an Avatar—a human mind housed in an alien body—and must wage a frantic battle for both his own existence and the survival of the native population.
